Two events across two different states, all for the one cause, supporting the local netballing communities affected by the Bushfires of the 2019/20 summer.
“The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members.”
– Coretta Scott King
We are absolutely blown away by the generosity and the kindness that the NETFIT and broader netballing community displayed, as Sarah Wall, Laura Langman and the NETFIT Team visited Lakes Entrance in East Gippsland, Victoria to visit a passionate netball region that were affected by the bushfires. Through our #INVESTINKIDS initiative we were able to raise $11,142 for Netball Australia’s Confident Girls Foundation to help support bushfire affected communities from NETFIT clinics run in Melbourne & Sydney.
100% of the proceeds from the clinics found their way to netballing clubs and associations in need, in addition to the regional visits conducted by the NETFIT team, in what was a big team effort. An extra special thanks must go to our friends and collaborators in this event, because without their help we wouldn’t have been able to achieve this:
- Sunshine Coast Lighting thanks for allowing Lauz to visit.
- Narelle Spangher Photography thanks for donating your time.
- Brunei Netball Association for your incredible donation
- Cronulla Sharks Netball & Waverley Netball Centre
- The Athletes Foot Australia
- QV Skincare
- The fruit cart
We know that there is a long road ahead in rebuilding their clubs and their spirits, however the love, appreciation and smiles from the amazing events held go to show what we can achieve if we stick together.
